Residential Childcare Worker\nLocation: Doncaster\nSalary: £13.20 per hour (Unqualified) | £13.50 per hour (Qualified Residential Childcare Worker)\nHours: Full-Time – 40 hours per week (174 hours per month)\nAdditional: Sleep-in duties may be required\n\nAbout the Role:\nResolve Recruitment Services are recruiting Residential Childcare Workers on behalf of a growing childcare provider in Doncaster.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for compassionate and dedicated individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people within a residential care setting. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can develop, thrive, and achieve positive outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n– Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.\n– Promote the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in your care.\n– Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.\n– Support children with daily routines, education, social activities, and life skills development.\n– Implement care plans and support strategies tailored to individual needs.\n– Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.\n– Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development.\n– Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to ensure high standards of care.\n– Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies at all times.\n\nRequirements\n– Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable.\n– Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) desirable.\n– Willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification within the required timeframe.\n– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\n– Compassionate, resilient, and child-focused approach.\n– Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.\n– Full UK driving licence desirable.\n\nBenefits\n– Competitive hourly rates\n– Full-time, permanent opportunity\n– Blue Light/Discount Card Scheme\n– Employee Health Assistance Programme\n– Ongoing training and development opportunities\n– Supportive team environment\n– Career progression opportunities\n\nSafeguarding\nThe successful candidate will be required to complete enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
